A Woman's Work

A Woman's Work
A Woman's Work

presented by Grace Notes

Grace Notes present songs of women's work through time, all performed with skilled musicianship and exquisite vocals.

With songs and stories that span five centuries - from a 15th Century Queen to a reluctant office worker in the 21st Century - audiences meet mothers, migrants, mill workers, laundry lasses, lace-makers and lavender girls, buffers, doffers and costers.

Music and songs are presented with Grace Notes' trademark flair and artistry, with traditional and contemporary songs performed a capella or in three part harmony, accompanied by flute, bodhran, recorders, keyboard, concertina and mandolin.

'Maids may sit still, go or run but a woman's work is never done'
